A few days late, but I was working on other stuff and didn’t really have the time to write about this.
The keyboard is probably screwed. I didn’t realize that my soldering iron was as screwed up as it was and I ended up
ruining the keyboard PCB when replacing the capacitors, which kind of sucks since I don’t have another PS/2 keyboard.
I got a new RTC chip for the computer though. It still gives a clock error on boot and says I need to press the F1 key (which I can’t do since no keyboard),
but at least replacing the chip seems to have stopped the loud and annoying beeping it kept doing before though, so that’s an improvement.
